Health Service Delivery GOAL:
To use a client-centered model and integrated team approach to provide careful, considerate, and developmentally appropriate medical and psychosocial services for youth living with HIV in and around New York City.
Project STAY
Project STAY provides medical and psychosocial services for adolescents and young adults with or at risk for HIV/AIDS in and around New York City. The STAY team is composed of medical providers, social workers and health educators. STAY has been designated a regional Specialized Care Center for adolescent HIV services, and currently has 65 active HIV+ clients enrolled in its program.
In addition to direct client care, Project STAY faculty and staff precept medical students, nurse-practitioner, social work, and master’s level nutrition and public health students on clinical rotations and practicum experiences involving education and care delivery for high-risk and HIV-positive adolescents and young adults.

STAY Partnerships
Due to the diverse medical needs of HIV-positive and at-risk youth, Project STAY, a joint program between New York-Presbyterian Hospital (NYPH) and Columbia University (CU), has collaborative agreements with other medical institutions, including St Luke-Roosevelt and Mt. Sinai Medical Centers, as well as with community based organizations such as Harlem United Dental Care.
